Compact Body

Though significantly more powerful, the BX-Series tractors are similar in body length to that of a standard garden tractor. This makes them easy to drive, and gives them smooth operation even in tight spaces. Despite their compact stature, BX-Series tractors are surprisingly roomy and comfortable.

More Spacious Operator Area

We've changed the pedal layout on the new BX-Series to increase operator comfort. We've split the forward and reverse HST pedals and moved the differential lock back to the side of the seat. These changes give operators a larger deck area. Widened by four inches and lengthened by a full 2 inches, this wider step offers more foot room than prior BX models, eliminating the cramped feel of most garden tractors.

Easy Read Instrument Panel and Light Switch

A simplified instrument panel, with a new digital tachometer, makes it easy to read all vital tractor functions. The light switch and hazards have also been combined to one switch for easy operability.

Digital Tachometer

The new BX-Series tractors feature a digital tachometer that offers operators more precise monitoring of engine revolutions, especially when operating the PTO. When the engine is off, the digital tachometer displays the hour meter.

Deluxe High Back Seat Seat-Mounted Seatbelt

The seatbelt of the new BX has been attached to the seat so that it won't restrict or become too tight while the tractor is in motion. Combine this with the BX-Series' deluxe high back seat for an operating experience more comfortable than ever before.

2-Pedal HST Operation

When frequent changes in speed and direction are needed, the HST responds with its smooth operating forward and reverse pedals, leaving your hands free for steering and implement control. By splitting one pedal into two, operators are offered more foot room on the operator's platform.

Cruise Control

For carefree mowing of large spaces, set the BX-Series' cruise control to maintain and constant speed without keeping your foot on the forward pedal. (Optional on the BX 1850)

Hydrostatic Power Steering

A standard feature on all BX-Series tractors, power steering makes steering practically effortless, thus reducing stress and fatigue.

With a powerful 3-cylinder diesel engine and 4-wheel drive traction, the BX gives you maximum versatility.

Powerful Kubota Diesel Engine

The new BX-Series tractors have been energized, and now come equipped with 18 and 23 horsepower 3-cylinder diesel engines, offering unparalleled power for a tractor this size. These highly-durable, 3-cylinder diesel engines provide more than enough power for all your gardening, front loader work and mowing duties.

Reverse Air Flow

The radiator of the BX-Series is positioned in the middle of the tractor rather than the front. So, airflow is taken in from the operator area and pushed towards the front of the hood. This helps reduce overheating, prevents grass from getting in the radiator grill and keeps the operator cooler.

4WD

Another key feature that separates the Kubota BX-Series tractors from typical garden tractors is a rugged and sturdy 4-wheel drive (4WD). This gives BX tractors far greater traction and is essential for heavy-duty front-loader work and for operating other implements.

DIESEL vs. GASOLINE

The diesel engines of the BX-Series sub-compact tractors have several very important advantages over gasoline powered engines typically found in garden tractors. The principal difference is torque. Diesel engines offer greater torque, which gives the Kubota BX far more power when mowing, hauling, using the front loader and more. Diesel engines are also less likely to slow down or stall when pushed to their limits, allowing you to work longer and more efficiently. Diesel engines also boast far lower fuel consumption than gasoline engines - typically using 20% to 30% less fuel. Lastly, diesel engines typically require far less maintenance, and don't require the fuel to be replaced even after long-term storage.

Versatile Category I 3-Point Hitch

Put your BX-Series to work with its Category I 3-point hitch. This sturdy and technologically advanced hitch allows you to attach a wide array of full-fledged tractor implements.

Quarter-Inching Valve

With 1/4" adjustment increments at the lower link end, our quarter inching valve provides easier implement control. The lever guide's regulator allows smaller adjustments, which are often required when attaching/detaching 3-point mounted implements or when performing sensitive jobs.

Front Implement 4 Position Control Valve

A new feature on the BX-Series tractors is our standard front 4 position valve (tractor can also be ordered without valve). Now part of the tractor, this valve provides you with the ability to quickly and easily attach the front loader and other front-mounted implements. Furthermore, the valve does not get in the way and gives the tractor a clean and sleek look.

Bright Halogen Headlights

The halogen headlights of the BX offer a clear bright light at dawn, dusk or dark of night. Furthermore, the casing and styles has been newly redesigned, giving the tractor a sleeker look.

Two types of BX decks let you choose the way you want to cut.

Two different mower decks now come standard on BX-Series models. Choose from our higher-productivity standard deck, or the deep deck, which gives you finer, more professional-looking results.

Standard Deck

This 3-blade mower offers a wider cutting area allowing you to cut more grass in a single pass. Choose a 48"/54" deck for the BX 1850 or a 54"/60" deck for the JBX2350 and BX24.

Fine Cut Deck

For finer cutting jobs and more beautiful end results, our deep deck is exactly what you're looking for. Kubota's original baffle structure allows the grass to be cut more finely giving you a closer and more uniform cut. Our deep deck also offers excellent performance with our optional mulching kit.

Mowing-Height Adjustment Dial

A simple twist of the dial adjusts the mower height in 1/4" increments to your desired cutting level.

Durable Shaft Drive

The BX-Series shaft drive delivers power smoothly from the mid-PTO to the mid-mount mower. Unlike belt drives, there is no slippage and maintenance is minimal.

High Clearance

The higher clearance of BX-Series tractors makes it easier to travel and mow over uneven ground or over raised obstacles, such as curbs. All BX models offer a clearance of 6 inches.

Easy Attach/Detach

Implements such as the loader or mower can be attached and detached in a matter of moments - saving you time and effort.
